2010 CIAC Class LL State High School Softball Championship – Westhill vs. Newtown

STRATFORD- Westhill's Allison Macari drove in the go-ahead, and game winning 2 RBI single in the fifth inning, as the Vikings topped Newtown, 4-2, to win the Class LL Softball state championship.

Jen Joseph also pitched a great game for the Vikings.  After giving up the first runs of the game, Joseph would retire 18 of the next 20 batters she faced.

For Westhill, the championship is the first for the school since 1992.
