2010 CIAC Class L Girl’s State High School Basketball Championship – Hillhouse vs. Wethersfield

UNCASVILLE- The Hillhouse girl's basketball team made it back to back state championships as they topped Wethersfield in the Class L Championship at Mohegan Sun Arena, 47-45.

The game showcased two of the top players in the state in Hillhouse sophomore Bria Holmes and Wethersfield senior Abigail Corning.  Holmes finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Corning finished with 25 points and 8 rebounds.

Hillhouse was able to win the Class L Championship, widely considered the best Class in the state with top 10 teams such as Wethersfield, Northwest Catholic, E.O Smith, and Pomperaug.

The Academics would finish with the number two ranking in the state, behind top ranked Norwich Free Academy.
