2009 CIAC Class L State High School Football Championship – Notre Dame–West Haven vs. Pomperaug

SHELTON -- Notre Dame West Haven made their case for the number one ranking in the state after they knocked off previously unbeaten Pomperaug, 28-21, to win the Class L Football State Championship.

Notre Dame West Haven forced five Panther turnovers in the game.  The biggest turnover being a Conor Keniry interception that helped seal the Green Knights win.

For the Green Knights, it's their first state title since 2001.
